maintenance policy

Combine's practices and company culture allow indeed implementation of individually developed maintenance schemes for each vessel to reflect the owner's priorities.

This is aimed for true asset protection which directly corresponds to the budgeted expenses. Thus meeting budget goals at the expense of the vessel's condition is prevented.

technical superintendency

The Technical Superintendents employed by Combine differ from many of their colleagues, as it is not sufficient to employ a Chief Engineer or ex-Master who has sound technical skills. In Combine, besides employing their wealth of practical experience they are required to have good analytical skills, organisational qualities, an ability to plan and structure their work, sound communication skills, financial/cost control knowledge, and good commercial common sense. In essence, a superintendent is effectively an individual Shipmanager. We ensure that the Superintendents are aware of the commercial implications of their day-to-day decisions and fully equipped to understand and meet the needs of the client. This includes the production of periodic inspection reports with full analysis of the condition of the vessel supported by photographs, also proposals and suggestions on how to improve on the costs and operation of the vessels.
